Fresh Apples and Dried Apricots Kompot

4 apples (any kind)
8-10 dried apricots (without pits)
2 cups sugar

Place the apples and the apricots into a pot.

Add the sugar.

Cover with 12-15 cups of water.

Place the pot on the stove.

Bring to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.

It’s important to let the fruit boil well but not for too long so that they don’t turn into a mush.

Take off the heat and cover.

To ensure your kompot acquires intense flavor and color, you’ll need to let it cool and stand for 2-3 hours.

Serve in individual glasses.

You can strain the kompot and toss the fruit, or keep the fruit and add it to each individual glass when serving.

This kompot will keep in the fridge for a few days.
