Red caviar is a traditional holiday appetizer. It is served on small open-faced sandwiches or tiny tartlets (about 1 inch in diameter).

10 small ready-made tartlets
1 oz butter
5 oz red caviar (salmon caviar)
2 oz cucumber

Red caviar is a traditional holiday appetizer. It is served on small open-faced sandwiches or tiny tartlets (about 1 inch in diameter).

Slice the cucumber into thin circles.

Cut the butter into small cubes.

Arrange the tartlets on a serving plate.

Place a cube of the butter into each tartlet.

Add 1.5 teaspoons of the caviar into each tartlet.

Decorate with a cucumber circle and serve.
